On Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 10:30 a.m., the AFL-CIO and immigration activists will host a teleconference for members of the press to discuss the status of the Comprehensive Immigration Bill, highlight grassroots reform efforts, and answer any questions. Representatives from Nuns on the Bus, Bridge Project and the Farmworker Association of Florida will share their perspectives.
According to recent polling data, nearly 70% of Florida voters support comprehensive immigration reform that provides a tough but fair roadmap to citizenship. These aspiring Americans contribute to all areas of our economy and society and are an ever-greater voice in politics.
